1. Chemical name of UV absorber UV-9
2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone

2. Physicochemical properties of UV absorber UV-9
UV absorber UV-9 has good compatibility with synthetic materials, low volatility, and excellent extraction resistance and anti-migration. It also has a good synergistic effect with heat stabilizers and antioxidants, and has no effect on the color of light-colored products. It is an ideal light stabilizer.
The molecular formula of UV absorber UV-9 is C14H12O3,molecular weight 228.247; appearance is pale yellow crystalline powder; melting point 61–64°C; boiling point 220°C/18 mmHg; specific gravity 1.324 at 25°C; soluble in most organic solvents such as methanol and ethanol, insoluble in water, low toxicity.

3. Product quality of UV absorber UV-9
Appearance: pale yellow crystals
Melting point: 61–64°C
Content %: ≥99.0%

II. Uses of UV absorber UV-9
UV absorber UV-9 can effectively absorb ultraviolet light of 290–400 nm and does not absorb visible light; it is an effective stabilizer, suitable for light-colored transparent coatings, various plastic products and other synthetic materials, with a general dosage of 0.5–1%. The amount can be appropriately increased or decreased according to specific conditions.

III. Storage, transport and packaging of UV absorber UV-9
1. UV absorber UV-9 is non-toxic, non-flammable and non-corrosive, with good storage stability.
2. During storage and transport, avoid proximity to heat sources; ambient temperature must not exceed 40°C.
3. Packaging uses rigid fibre drums as outer packaging with inner plastic bags; net weight 25 kg per drum.
