Application of Light Stabilizer HS-80 in the Shoulder Rubber of Truck Tyres

The study investigates the application of light stabilizer HS-80 in the shoulder rubber of truck tyres. The results show that adding HS-80 significantly improves the anti-reversion performance of the shoulder rubber; tensile properties, elasticity and heat-ageing resistance are improved, especially for compounds with longer vulcanization times (>50 min), where the trend is more pronounced; tyres made from shoulder rubber with HS-80 show improved endurance and high-speed performance and a reduced shoulder void rate.
