Reported by HC360: Tiangang's Pesticide-Resistant Improved Light Stabilizer Shows Promising Early Results

The first-phase greenhouse-film trial of the pesticide-resistant improved light stabilizer from Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary Co., Ltd.—a well-known Chinese additive enterprise—shows that after more than one year of use, the trial film exhibited no obvious signs of aging, and its pesticide- and acid-resistance significantly outperformed ordinary light stabilizers, marking a preliminary success.
The combination of pesticides and greenhouse cultivation has become an important means of ensuring high-efficiency and safe production in modern agriculture. However, while pesticide use protects crops such as flowers, fruits, and seedlings from pest and disease damage, it often causes premature aging of agricultural film, bringing crop losses and rising costs to farmers.
Over the past decade, to meet market demand for pesticide-resistant stabilizers, Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary Co., Ltd. has conducted in-depth research and successively launched several new pesticide-resistant improved light stabilizer products, including HS-625, T-68, and T-69. "Tiangang's pesticide-resistant improved light stabilizer products have reached internationally advanced technical levels; the comparative tests in experimental greenhouses under various typical crop conditions across China are the best proof," introduced Liu Gang, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Tiangang.
At the end of July 2014, a team led by Qin Lijie, President of the China Agricultural Plastics Film Society, together with technical representatives from Beijing Tiangang Auxiliary and several foreign companies, conducted an on-site inspection of three representative experimental greenhouses with harsh usage conditions in Yunnan Province, to verify the performance of Tiangang's newly developed pesticide-resistant light stabilizer.
The experimental greenhouses are located in Yiliang, Kunyang, and Haikou, representing three different harsh usage conditions. Among them, the Yiliang greenhouse grows roses and is frequently sprayed with pesticides; the Haikou greenhouse grows vegetables with low pesticide usage, but is adjacent to the production base of a well-known fertilizer enterprise, so the film often adsorbs large amounts of acidic substances carried in the air due to boiler and exhaust emissions; the Kunyang greenhouse grows hydrangeas, where, in addition to pesticide spraying, the soil acidity is adjusted to control flower color. In each region, the experimental and comparison greenhouses share identical structures and crops.
On-site observations showed that agricultural film using ordinary light stabilizers often exhibited aging and breakage less than one year after installation, whereas Tiangang's trial film showed no obvious signs of aging after more than one year of use, with its pesticide- and acid-resistance significantly outperforming ordinary light stabilizers, marking a preliminary success.
